Our April Activites (Nevra Koçak Tosun - Fevzi Çakmak İlkokulu)
As part of our recycling and creativity initiative, we collected used toilet paper rolls. Students painted the rolls in colors of their choice and allowed them to dry before assembling them with additional materials. Through this process, they created unique owl figures from the recycled rolls. At the end of the activity, the students took their owl crafts home and shared the experience with their families, reinforcing the importance of sustainability and creative reuse.
Students brought unused socks from home to school. We filled the socks with sawdust, tied them up, and then added facial features such as eyes, mouth, and ears. After completing the grass heads, the students took them home and watered them regularly. They observed the growth of grass from the grass heads made out of recycled socks.
