Here's the final product of our project, the ebook, which presents some of the most important activities done by our students: Let's Create, Not Waste!
With an empty large plastic water container we created a target game. The children had to put improvised balls made from old aluminum foil inside the bottle. With an empty box we made a dice to play various games.
CRAFTS WITH WASTE HOUSE ITEMS For this activity students were put in groups of 5-6 and each team created different things. For example, one team painted metal bottle caps red (creating ladybugs) and yellow (creating bees) to make pieces for the tic-tac-toe game. Another team made pencil boxes out of tin cans and a third team made flowers out of cotton ear buds. They had fun.
RECYCLE THEMED CALENDAR As my students are a bit older than their partners, they already know how to work on canva. That's why I was confident enough to let them fulfill the task on their phones.
WASTE CLOTH CRAFTS For this activity we had less time than we would have liked, so we only managed to make little snowmen like in this uploaded picture (although it's not really their time) out of white socks stuffed with cotton wool and decorated with buttons, beads and ribbon.
